Yesterday marked the kickoff to the 2026 Kids Heart Challenge! Mr. Mutek as well as Mrs. Kate Rosen, our American Heart Association representative came to speak to our MaST III students about the KHC program and ways to take care of our heart and learn the importance of “hands-only CPR.”
Students also learned about the 10 new “Lifesaver League” characters that represent important life skills such as “avoiding tobacco/vape” and “drinking water” “getting plenty of sleep” and ways to incorporate them in the students’ daily schedule.
Furthermore, “lucky” chosen students alongside, Mr. Mutek took part in a “Jump Rope Competition” to earn prizes.
A fun party was had by all!!

Our 7th graders explored science up close through the BioEyes Program! Students used microscopes to observe zebrafish growth, watched larvae hatch, and learned how genetics influence traits. We are thankful to the BioEyes team from the University of Pennsylvania for this hands-on learning experience at MaST Schools.
